Born to Play is a football specific, physical play programme for children aged 3-5, aimed at giving children a developmentally appropriate introduction to football. Football is the vehicle used to provide a well-rounded start to their physical, social and educational development.
Emphasis is placed upon FUNdamental movement skills along with an introduction to the rules of the game, spatial awareness and how to apply basic footballing techniques. Confidence is developed in a stimulating environment and players learn through games and their own imaginations. Sessions are designed to develop the individual player’s technical skills and understanding of match play. The how and the why become more prominent with an added emphasis on effective decision-making, within game related situations.
Our invite-only MFC, development squad programme, provides opportunities for gifted and talented players to receive advanced training in a professional environment and experience the thrill of training and competing as a team. The football club programme follows a tailored coaching syllabus for each age group aimed at developing the players technically, tactically, physically and psychologically and is delivered by our highest qualified coaches with previous experience at esteemed professional academies; Southampton FC, Fulham FC, AFC Wimbledon and Brentford FC in the UK. Within our team of staff, coaches have spent time working with players now playing internationally and Premier League football, names such as Luke Shaw (Manchester United & England) Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (Liverpool & England), Callum Chambers (Arsenal & England), Dele Alli (Tottenham & England), James Ward-Prowse (Southampton & England) and Ryan Sessegnon (Fulham FC & England).
We are the founders of the Academy Development League, a league designed to duplicate academy football in the UK, creating an environment centred on the development needs of all players within it, rather than results, trophies and revenue generation. Features of the league include home and away fixtures, parent viewing areas away from pitch side, codes of conduct for parents, players, officials and coaches, neutral referees and shared expenses.
